Oh, these scientists minds - in the end all confused. Who pays more - and take the side of those. Now will have a new slogan, NO alcohol, yes - tobacco.

Sacked adviser to the government of Great Britain, David Nutt, along with a group of colleagues published a study which claims that alcohol causes more damage to society than drugs. Scientists conducted a study of the harm that some form of drug use does to the person who uses it, and his entourage, wrote Guardian. In their view, alcoholism is much more dangerous to society than the mass distribution of heroin and synthetic drugs. During the study, scientists have created a new scale to measure the harm of drugs. They included in their evaluation system nine types of damage that can cause one or another narcotic substance an individual (between death and damage to brain function), and seven types of harm that drugs cause to society. Maximum rate of injury for both scales was estimated at 100. The most dangerous drug of alcohol was found (76 out of 100). Below is housed on a scale of methamphetamine (33 points), cocaine (27 points) and tobacco (26 points). "Our study shows that current legislation does not take into account the real harm that certain types of drugs," - noted British scientists.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the UK reported that the report of the doctors still do not know. "We have not read the report. The government has just completed a consultation on the fight against alcoholism and publish an official statement in the coming months, "- said in a conversation with a reporter Publishing Press Officer British Ministry of Internal Affairs.
